The Art of Democracy exhibition of prints
exhibited at The National Arts Club from November 2nd through the 14th
was part of a national coalition of political art exhibitions co-organized
by The New York Society of Etchers and artist activist Art Hazelwood
of San Francisco, CA. This historic effort included the work of as many
as one thousand artists participating in over 50 exhibitions simultaneously
across the United States. Artists included in the New York show, curated
on our behalf by Mr. Marshall Arisman and Ms. Frances Jetter included
Linda Adato, Marshall Arisman, Carla Bauer, Kristine T. Bouyoucos, Ann
Chernow, Soo-Jin Chung, Ellen Coleman, Zev Deans, Stephen A. Fredericks,
Margaret Gosden, Sarah Hauser, Art Hazelwood, Andy Hoogenboom, Rosalee
O. Isaly, Frances Jetter, Denise Kasof, Mattias Kern, Brian Knoerzer,
